Get to know more about Ben:
Ben is originally from Stokes County, North Carolina’s largest city, King. Upon graduation from South Stokes High School, Ben completed his undergraduate work at UNC Wilmington and earned his Juris Doctor degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ben then accepted a position with the Cabarrus County District Attorney’s Office where he served as an Assistant District Attorney until 2009. From 2009 until 2015, Ben worked as an associate attorney, and then a partner, at Concord law firm, Hartsell & Williams, P.A.
Ben joined the Ferguson, Hayes, Hawkins & DeMay team in October 2015, bringing with him nearly a decade’s worth of experience as both a prosecutor and defense attorney in Cabarrus County.
Outside of practicing law, Ben spends his time agonizing over Georgia Tech football. He is a lifelong fan of the Yellow Jackets and also supports the UNCW Seahawks, UNC Tar Heels, Carolina Panthers, and Chicago White Sox. Ben is an avid CrossFitter and obstacle course racer, having participated in races in Lake Tahoe, California and Killington, Vermont, along with numerous others closer to home.
